I am a male brown and white #pitbull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS 54lbs.

A volunteer writes:
I hear a dog barking(or may be just calling out) in the #adoption quarters. It is John. “I need to go, I need to go……” His kennel is #spotless. I understand. John is #housetrained.. We run to the street where John relieves himself at once. No marking involved. “Thank you ! I feel much better…” John is a #handsome, trim and #elegantly dressed young man. He has been well cared for until his abandonment. He pulls slightly on the leash but nothing that I can not manage. Free in a pen, he acts happy go lucky and quite well behaved. He sits immediately on command and although he can jump quite high for treats, he takes them very #gently from my hand. John seems to like other dogs, goes toward them with a #relaxed body and a wagging tail. Same with #people who come to say #hello at our gate. John comes right away when i call him by his given name and sits with his head in my lap. He seems to love caresses and gentle talks. He might be an energetic dog as suggested by his behavioral evaluation but he knows what quiet and #sweet times are, making the most of them…I really like John.
